Learning Outcomes

Assessment21 is built on decades of field-based experience to help educators:

  • Understand deeper learning competencies

  • Design assessment for deeper learning

  • Use rubrics to score complex student work

  • Utilize student-engaged assessment practices

Participants are supported in adapting their current units of study to implement new and innovative practices. Throughout this six-week experience, participants will develop a Portfolio of Learning for reflection and professional growth.

This experience helped me clarify how more authentic assessment practices can be woven into classroom experiences meaningfully and still uphold the academic rigor we know students need.
